Be more gardener
Like most people without formal training, I found learning to garden weirdly difficult.
Which struck me as odd given that we’ve all agreed it’s an unequivocal good.
After all, its benefits are well understood. It’s one of the healthiest forms of exercise, inherently positive, mindful and meditative, promotes discovery, self-expression and learning, is endlessly hopeful, and then there’s the gardens themselves…
But if we want more people to enjoy these benefits, it’s not enough to bang on about the benefits, you have to make it easier to garden.
So, that’s what I set out to do. To make the site I wished had existed when I started gardening.
We sell our plants in collections so you don’t have to spend ages working out what works together. So you spend less time worrying about choosing the wrong things and more time making a garden.
We arranged our collections and subscriptions into colour schemes, to make it easier to imagine and achieve the look you’re after.
Our plants are sourced from suppliers to Chelsea and some of the country’s top garden designers. Because the better the plants, the better your chances of succeeding.
And we offer step by step instructions and care information, so that you know what needs doing to the plants you buy, when it needs doing.
Which means you start to see the patterns in how you care for plants and how it connects to the seasons.
We hope it makes it easier to start, easier to learn and easier to grow, both your garden and as gardeners.
